Fantastic start to the PDI competitions

Our first PDI Competition was expertly judged by Chris Shore FRPS MPAGB EFIAP BPE5* with a bumper crop of images for him to view (50 in the intermediate and 33 in the advanced group). As usual members received constructive critique and in the intermediate group 9 images were given a score of 20, which was nice to see especially as new members were amongst those receiving this for one of their images. The winner of this group was Eddie Bradley with a stunning image entitled "Gone Surfing". in the advanced group the winner was Mike Aubry with a fantastic shot entitled "Airobics." Well done to both!

Summer Project - our challenge to photograph 10 subjects

During the summer our chair Laura gave us a challenge to take photographs of 10 different subjects. These were "Inside, Opening, Three, Plant, Seascape, Church, Colour, Lines, Utensils and Bench" spelling out IOTPSCCLUB. The challenge was accepted with 14 members putting in their images for us to judge. At the club night on 23rd September members that were there were given a score sheet and asked to mark each entry out of 10. With 137 entries over the 10 subjects adding them up was a big task for yours truely!! The winner of each subject will be announced at the club night on 7th October and the overall winner has been promised a box of chocs by Laura. Watch this space for the pict
