3rd Quartery Print Competition

Our latest print competiton was expertly judged by Malcolm Hardie and as usual a variety of images were presented in both the Intermediate and Advanced groups. With a wide range of scores allocated to the prints in the Intermediate Group, the eventual winner was Andy Kettle with his stunny image entitled "Night - Time Carnival", with second place going to yours truely Nikki Clamp with an intriguing image entitled "The Door to the Dark City" (I call it intriguing because it caused the Judge to question exactly what he was seeing !) and third to Steve Lee with his interesting pattern image entitled "Tiny Courtyard Prague". Battle between Friends !

Our last club night saw us taking on our friends at Herne Bay Camera Club in a battle of the best of our prints and digital images. 12 from each club in each category. Skilfully judged by Paul Adams ARPS DPARG FDPS APAGB the variety of images was impressive and the competition closely fought. After the digital images the score was only 3 apart with Herne Bay on 209 and IOTPS on 206. Tensions were high whilst the prints were scored and in the end Herne Bay again were victorious with 213 compared with 209. Well done to them with the final scores being 422 to them and 415 to us; not too much of a difference but well deserved for Herne Bay!! We are still friends suffice to say. IOTPS were
