The Art of Wedding Photography
At our last club night we had a talk from Nancy Phillips, a photographer from Lancashire who gave us an entertaining insight in to her wedding photography. As well as capturing weddings, Nancy also shoots commercial, lifestyle and portrait images and gives workshops, lectures and courses/1:1 training as part of her work. She also loves wildlife photography as more of a hobby and the necessity to be fast and quiet to capture this sort of image helps her with her wedding shoot
Slideshow magic!
At our last club meeting we were treated to some varied slideshows of images made by Les Loosemore, a fantastic photographer from Wales. The slideshows were accompanied by music mostly by Vangelis, which very much enhanced the images presented, relaxing and beautifully choreographed. "Book Titles" Our Latest PDI Competition
At our last club meeting we were joined by Susan Clark who judged images that had been sent in for the latest PDI Competition; the subject was "Book Titles" with 66 images entered by members from both of our groups. Sue gave us a very throrough appraisal of the images and had clearly done a lot of research on the books that the members had chosen to illustrate in their entries. Iconic images - most seen, most expensive and most controversial!!
At our last club meeting we were treated to a talk by our very own Chair Laura Drury. With the subject being ICONIC mages Laura showed us the world's most viewed photograph, which if you have Windows XP on your computer you would have seen it as it is the default wallpaper.
